Sirloin Steak with Spicy Herb Marinade
Give your steak a kick with this spicy accent.
Yield: Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin tip steak, all fat removed
- 1 1/2 tsp. liquid garlic spice flavoring
- 1 tsp. mediterranean herb rub
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1 Tbs. steak sauce
- 1 Tbs. barbecue sauce
- 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Combine liquid spice, herb rub and black pepper to make a paste
- Rub paste over entire surface of steak
- Combine remaining ingredients in non-metal dish or container
- Add steak to marinade and turn to coat both sides
- Cover dish and refrigerate several hours or overnight, turning steak at least once
- Coat grill with cooking spray
- Sear steak for one minute on each side
- Cover grill and cook 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until thermometer reads 155-160 degrees F
- Allow to sit 5 minutes before carving into thin slices
- Serve with steak sauce
