Diets in Review Question

Plateau already?

Loretta asked this question Apr 18th, 2011 9:35 pm

I am on day 10 and have lost 7 pounds...YAY!

I would like to know if anyone else dropped weight quickly the first few days and hit a plateau. It seems so soon to be plateauing already...but I'm sticking with it!

I'm on day 16 and the first week I lost 3 1/2 lbs and the 2nd week 1/2 lb (I was disappointed but I only had approx 10 lbs to loose)...I'm wondering if it's not coming off as fast for me because I didn't have that much to loose in the first place. My husband lost 7 1/2 lbs on the first week and only 1 1/2 lbs on the 2nd week, so for us it's not coming off as quickly.

I am on day 10 and have lost 5 pounds. Meanwhile my husband lost 10 pounds in 7 days, and my son lost 5 pounds in 7 days. I have less to lose than they do so I hope that is the reason. I am trying not to get discouraged. If I was still doing weight watchers and lost 5 pounds in one week I would be thrilled. It just that we expected so much. It still is very fast. Stay encouraged.

Hi Loretta, I didn't see your post before I posted mine, but our stories seem very similar. I too gained back 2 lbs on day 11 and then plateaued for 4 days, but now on day 1 of activate I've lost 3 more lbs, including those 2 I gained back. I'll keep going too and will try not to get discouraged. Perhaps if I didn't weigh myself every day, I wouldn't notice these small setbacks. I'm going to switch to weighing once a week from now on. Good luck!!!
