Is 17 Day Diet good for runners?

Lori Miller asked this question Dec 30th, 2011 11:34 pm

I'm a runner, 15-25 miles/week. I need a certain amount of carbs to give me the energy for long runs. Will this diet plan work for me?

no you get very little carbs in this diet, especially during the first cycle, so i wouldnt suggest that you do this diet.

I think there is a lot of carbs on this diet, there just isn't simple carbs or usless fattening carbs. Fresh vegetables, fruits, and after 17 days even more carbs and after 34 days all sorts of carbs, but the good ones.

Lori- I am a runner and I can't sustain my miles on cycle 1. I have to cut back to running about 10-12 miles a week on cycle 1. I use fruit as my source of carbs. You should be fine on all the other cycles.
