New York, NY – February 2, 2010 – For more than forty years, February has been recognized as American Heart Month, and this year, is proud to participate in this annual effort to raise awareness about the deadliest disease in America. Throughout the month of February, Rebecca Scritchfield MA, RD, LD, the resident dietitian for, will lead the site's charge on helping our online community take simple and vital steps to reduce their risk of heart disease.

Heart disease is the number one killer in the U.S., as well as the number one killer of women, more so than breast cancer, yet many of the risk factors can be controlled. urges every woman and man to take a serious look at what they can do to prevent heart disease.
