It's an effort by charities and companies to educate people around the world about the prevention of a disease that stands to affect one in eight women.

Find out more about the ways diet, nutrition and exercise can help you prevent breast cancer.

Kinsey’s Nutrition Tips

Understanding Hydrogenated Oil and Trans Fats

The hydrogenation process takes a polyunsaturated fat and hardens it, making it more saturated, and gives rise to trans-fatty acids. If a food label has "hydrogenated" on it then the product contains trans-fat. Trans-fatty acids have similar adverse health effects as saturated fats, which is why people are encouraged to avoid these fats. The difference between partially hydrogenated and hydrogenated is only seen chemically, but both share the harmful effects in our body (cancer, heart disease, etc). Learn more about these fats.
