One of the most popular weight loss and fitness products this year is the Slendertone Flex Belt, an electronic muscle stimulator. EMS devices, like the Flex Belt, work by training the muscle fibers via electrical impulses that evoke the contraction and release response in the muscle. The Slendertone Flex Belt actually uses a patented muscle stimulation technology. You simply wear the slender device around your abdominals and it does the work for you.
NFL Allstar Jerry Rice says of the Flex Belt, “It works those muscles, tones them, makes them stronger, and it is very easy.”
If you’re interested in winning a Slendertone Flex Belt, a value of $199.99, and trying this fitness technology for yourself, enter your mailing address here.

Rather than using soy, wheat gluten or textured vegetable protein like many vegetarian products, Quorn relies on a mycoprotein-based ingredient that contains less fat, fewer calories and more fiber than meat. In addition, it contains nine essential amino acids making it a powerful source of protein for vegetarians or for those who are trying to reduce their intake of meat.
As a health counselor I can’t help but look into the shopping carts of fellow shoppers to see what types of products and produce they load into their carts. In some cases I have had to fight the urge to question some shoppers as to why they just selected a product full of sugar, fat and artificial ingredients.
Below are some quick tips to help move your regular shopping list to a nutritious filled list:
UPDATE: This giveaway has ended. Renee and Jeff were chosen as the two winners! Congrats!

Once again, you’ll see Biggest Loser contestants staying well-hydrated on campus, but not with disposable water bottles. For several seasons the contestants have relied on a partnership with Brita’s Filter For Good program to help them hydrate and save the planet.
All contestants, trainers, and other Biggest Loser staff receive Filter For Good Nalgene bottles (BPA-Free!) and keep those filled with refreshing water via Brita pitchers and faucet mounts found throughout the house and gym. This helps the campus save literally tens of thousands of bottles of waters each season, and prevent all that waste from hitting our landfills. (more…)
