About Me:

I have been trying to lose weigh for what seems like my whole life. I am 36 and in all my years of exercising, thinking about exercising and attempting to eat healthy there has only bee one time in my life that I have lost any significant weight and that was only 30 pounds.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • I would like to lose 100 pounds
  • I would like to stick to reasonable goals and not quit because I think a simple walk wasn't enough
  • I would like to go on a date
  • I want to eat in moderation, when I lost 30 pounds it was because I ate small portions of things, so when I wanted a piece of cake I had a small portion

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:


My favorite healthy food:

Hummus and carrots

My guiltiest pleasure:

Chocolate cake. cookies, french fries or pizza.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I want my weight to be one less thing I worry about. No worrying about my clothes fitting well or whether I will find clothes that fit to begin with. Also the one time I lost 30 pounds I had more confidence.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • Bringing my lunch to work (healthier food and bringing fancy healthy food is still cheaper than buying lunch out, sans the dollar menu)

My favorite activity at the gym is:

Group fitness

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • I ran a half marathon 3 years ago and I was 100 pounds overweight.
