Joelle is a sad example of the stereotypes of (us) larger women of color. She is a poor team-mate and worse friend. It’s too bad that Carla selected her as a partner. Best wishes on the weight loss. It is a battle that has to be fought alone.

Carla, you are such an awesome person! I feel bad for you to have had Joelle check out on you like that. I wish you could have stayed longer, but God moves mountains in all of our lives. Don’t give up! He will provide you the happiness you deserve no matter what. Just make sure you depend on Him for everything.

Carla, the episode the other night had me in tears — how could Joelle disrespect you, as well as, herself. That fact that you lost 20 pounds in 30 days on your own at home let’s me know that you are going to fine. I have struggled w/ my weight and here recently I stopped exercising and eating right, but watching you the other night has given me renewed sense of hope and determination and I am starting back on my quest to be ‘a better me’ TODAY. You go girl! and blessings to you Always!

I watched the show in AWE the other night! I cried just as hard if not HARDER for u on the show. You have truely inspired me to start loosing weight. I have had the “Fluffy Girl” problem all my life. I wish you the best!!!!! I my prayers are with u.

Carla, Out of everyone you have my vote…Joelle is an absolute joke. I can see you winning. I saw how sad the other players were to be basically forced to eliminate you because of Joelle. PLEASE show everyone that you dont have to go on a show for four months to lose all that weight, you can do it at home! You have some Floridians behind you all the way!! Kim

carla, you and kristen and mike have been my favorites since the beginning of season 7. i am praying that you blow everyone away at the finale and carry the $100, 000 prize. joelle d id you wrong but she is your best friend and i pray youand her can still be friends. you are a truly amazing woman . because of you and kristin and mike you all have inspired me to lose weight. i am 47 and 320 lbs and i have lose 32 lbs in 6 weeks. i know its a slow start but losing weight is hard especially when you like to eat like i do. i am a chef so that is partlywhy iam so big. carla i also just want you to know your a true friend to me an d girl i love you always. i love your staigh t forward personality and kristens too.
