What is it?

Provestra is a sexual enhancement product that both acts as an aphrodisiac, as well as restores health to the reproductive system. Provestra claims to help women look forward to having sex, rather than viewing it as a chore.

Provestra is made from a blend of ingredients that support relaxation and arousal, as well as alleviate vaginal dryness. The makers of this product claim this product addresses the imbalances that cause low libido and works within 30 days.

Femmetrinol is the supplement our experts recommend most for treating the symptoms of menopause. This herbal blend of ingredients works to treat hot flashes, night sweats and low libido, along with a number of other symptoms. Provestra Ingredients and Side Effects

While the makers of Provestra have failed to list an official ingredient label on the website, they do give visitors a quick rundown of the ingredients present in the formula. This product contains a lot of ingredients, so we’ve opted to include only the most active components of Provestra below:

L-Arginine Black Cohosh Licorice Root Damiana Indole-3-Carbinol Red Raspberry Leaf
Gingko Biloba Kudzu Ginseng Theobromine Valerian

Black Cohosh: An herb that is often used to treat menopause symptoms due to its ability to act much like naturally produced estrogen when present in the body. Black cohosh has been known to help with hot flashes, night sweats and more.

Gingko Biloba: Gingko is used for a number of things, boosting memory, improving depression and anxiety and treating sexual performance issues and low libido.

Valerian: Valerian is an herb that is thought to have a sedative effect on the brain and nervous system. Many people use this ingredient to treat insomnia, anxiety, depression and more.

Indole-3-Carbinol: A substance found in vegetables like cauliflower, kale and other cruciferous greens, indole-3-carbinol is used to prevent certain cancers like breast, colon and cervical cancer. It may also have a balancing effect on hormone levels.

Theobromine: Theobromine is a chemical found in chocolate with a structure similar to caffeine. This substance, which gives dark chocolate its bitter flavor, has both a calming and stimulating effect, though it does not actually affect the nervous system.

Though theobromine is safe for human consumption, it is highly toxic to dogs, horses and other domestic animals.

L-Arginine: An amino acid necessary for helping the body make proteins and build muscle, L-arginine also helps blood vessels open up, improving blood flow in the body, which may have an effect on sexual desire and function.

Licorice Root: Often consumed as a tea, licorice root is thought to improve digestion, sore through and inflammation of the stomach lining.

It may also have an effect on the adrenal glands, reducing stress and impacting hormones, which may help improve menopausal symptoms.

Red Raspberry Leaf: The leaves of the raspberry plant are thought to have an antioxidant effect on the body, which may help reduce inflammation and prevent the growth of tumors in the body.

It may also produce increased perspiration and urination, which may have a detoxifying effect on the body.

Damiana: A shrub used to increase sexual desire, physical stamina and more, damiana thought to have an effect on the central nervous system and brain.

Kudzu: Kudzu is a plant used for a number of things, including menopause symptoms. It is thought to have some estrogenic properties and may improve blood circulation in the brain and the heart.

Ginseng: A widely used herbal remedy, ginseng is used to improve energy and mental function, boost the immune system, help with mental health issues like depression or anxiety and even improve sexual function.

Provestra Quality of Ingredients

There’s really no doubt that Provestra covers all bases in terms of ingredients. With a few known aphrodisiacs, as well as some herbs that support the women’s reproductive system, it’s clear that the formula is on the right track.

The problem is, we don’t know how much of each active item is included in the formula, nor how much of this product is made up of vitamins and minerals—which are great and support the system, but may take up some valuable real estate given everything else included in the mix.

Ingredients like black cohosh for example, work really well for menopausal women, but it’s hard to know if Provestra is targeting the loss of libido that happens as women get older or just a general lack of interest in sex.

Based on the reviews we found, it’s clear that there were a lot of unhappy customers, claiming this did little to stimulate their libidos.

The Price and Quality of Provestra

Provestra may be purchased from the official website for $50 a box, which contains a one-month supply. Shoppers can save if they choose to buy more at a time or enroll in their auto-ship program, which brings the price down to $39.95 per box.

Amazon is selling this supplement for $30 for a box containing 30 pills, and $90 for two boxes containing 30 pills each. It’s unclear why it’s cheaper to buy one box at a time on Amazon, but prices are always fluctuating.

Provestra is priced within the normal range of similar herbal products, but given the amount of negative reviews this product has received, it doesn’t seem like a good value.

Business of Provestra

Provestra is made by a company known as Leading Health Naturals, who also make a number of male enhancement products, as well as several other supplements. Here’s a bit more about the company that makes this product:

Phone: 250-383-8267

Address: 100 – 645 Tyee Road
Victoria, BC V9A 6X5

Leading Health Edge has been around for over a decade and makes a range of products sold online targeting various personal health concerns like male enhancement, skin care and more.

While this company is well-established, they consistently don’t advertise pricing clearly and use language that tries to get people to sign up for their autopay service.

Leading Edge has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, but there are several complaints listed on the organization’s site. Most of the complaints are from previous consumers who had trouble receiving a refund or getting out of an automatic billing cycle.

Customer Opinions of Provestra

Provestra did have some good reviews, but those who liked this product made up only about a quarter of the reviews we came across. Much of the feedback was from users who claimed this did nothing to help restore sex drive or reduce vaginal dryness. Here’s a look at some of the comments:

“This took 30 days to do anything at all. And even after I passed the one-month mark, I’m only slightly more aroused when it’s time to be intimate.”

“Honestly, I was misled by the advertisement. The product page says you need to give it a couple months, which doesn’t offer time to honor the money-back guarantee. Don’t buy this, it’s complete junk.”

“Was helping this would finally give me a vaginal orgasm, but it really wasn’t effective. I feel like the area was a little more sensitive, but it’s way too much money for something that doesn’t get the job done.”

“I don’t have a great sex drive at all, which is why I decided to give this a try, but I wouldn’t say they make you feel “horny” or anything. I guess I feel a little more aroused, but it’s not really worth the money.”

Provestra seems to be a big disappointment for a number of people who were looking for a way to get their sexual health back on track. Whether loss of libido was related to menopause or something else, most users didn’t say.

For that reason, it’s hard to know what audience this product is for — and given that we’re looking at menopause products, it’s likely not the best solution for that demographic.

Conclusion – Does Provestra Work?

Provestra has some good herbs its formula, but it also has a lot of herbs—not to mention the vitamins and minerals included as well.

Provestra had a lot of negative reviews, and it may be that this formula isn’t strong enough to yield the results women require when it comes to their sex drive. Or, it could be that this isn’t the right formulation for enhancing sexual desire, in general.

Additionally, we don’t think this product is the right fit for the bulk of our readers, as it doesn’t explicitly take on menopause. It does contain black cohosh, but we don’t know if there is enough present to reduce hot flashes, night sweats and more. As an aphrodisiac, it still seems like it doesn’t deliver the advertised benefits.
