About Me:

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I Encourage, Equip, and Empower others to improve their lives in the ways that are most meaningful to them. I enjoy writing for Diets in Review on a regular basis and interacting through twitter (@ChoosingChange). I am also the co-founder of @Run4LifeIndy a group that brings together runners and walkers to raise money for charitable causes.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • increasing activity in my busy, inconsistent schedule
  • running at least 1-2 half marathon per year
  • decreasing sugar
  • eating locally

My favorite healthy food:

It depends on the day: steak, salad, hummus, fresh fruit, grilled veggies

My guiltiest pleasure:

baked goods

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • carrying a 32oz Nalgene bottle of water with me practically everywhere
  • taking & teaching dance classes

My favorite activity at the gym is:

  • Indpendent in my career prior to turning 28
  • completing two half marathons
