While on the Six Week Body Makeover plan, you eat five to six smaller meals each day to get your metabolism going. The foods you eat will depend on your body type, but certain general rules apply to all body types such as avoiding processed foods, eating foods that are naturally low in salt and for some, dairy must be avoided.

Below is a sample day of eating for those with body type B (endo-meso). This particular body type builds and maintains lean muscle easily, yet has a very slow metabolism. A day of eating might include the following:

  • Breakfast: Three Egg whites or three ounces of turkey breast (low-sodium); 1/2 grapefruit (or 1/2 cup mixed berries, or 8 oz. all natural grapefruit juice)
  • AM Snack: Three ounces of turkey breast; 1 cup lettuce
  • Lunch: 2 oz. chicken breast; 1/2 cup brown rice; one cup mixed veggies
  • Mid-afternoon snack: Three oz. fresh tuna; 1 cup lettuce
  • Dinner: Two oz. chicken breast; 1/2 cup brown rice; 1 cup mixed veggies
  • PM Snack (optional): 1/2 grapefruit or 1/2 cup mixed berries or 8 oz. natural grapefruit juice
EXERCISEEXERCISE

Exercise is another important part of the Six Week Body Makeover.

The plan features Thurmond's own Personalized 18-Minute Body Sculpting Program, which is to be done twice a week for 18 minutes a time. It is a resistance training plan that is used to tighten and tone certain areas. The 18-Minute plan is featured in the Precision Body Sculpting Workout DVD the program comes with a specially-designed body sculpting band that you use to perform the exercises.

All of the exercises can be done at home or taken to the gym.

This was the first time in my life I was able to lose weight and feel great. I have managed until recent life changes to keep it off and keep going. Now that I have fallen away from my eating habits,I am going back to find d my pieces again. I realized that I had the plan in my head for the most part,but I got slack in eating the right foods at the right times and little by little became off track. But it's in me! It was a true life changing experience for me and I've told everyone for years. In fact my ex husbañd callede yesterday asked what it was called because he was referring someone else based on the evidence he saw with my results years ago! Highly recommend!

I TRIED IT A WHILE AGO, FOUND IT TO BE EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID. I WAS ABLE TO LOSE 25LBS.. GOT OFF BUT FID NOT MAINTAIN IT THE WAY I SHOULD HAVE. IN THE PROCESS OF GOING BACK AS SOON AS I CAN FIND ANOTHER EXERCISE ROPE.

I used this plan a few years ago. I lost 10 lbs the first week. 30 by 6 weeks. I had to make myself eat all the food. You never go hungry. Tomorrow I go back on the plan. I fell off the wagon. This time I have to lose 20 lbs. I love this plan. Everything is spelled out. I'm body type B.

The Michael Thurmond diet is very effective. It also is healthy as it balances starches, proteins, and green vegetables. The drawback is that one needs to be very organized and follow it to the letter. Drink lots of water and walk 45 minutes a day

I have had this program since 2003 and LOVE it. If you are like me and need the rigid plan in order to stick to it, then this is for you. It keeps me focused and yeah, it does take a lot of work, BUT being healthy is a lot of work and if you haven't been doing any work now, then likely, this will be a huge change. The thing is, we put effort in everything else we do and our health tends to suffer for it. Not anymore. This is a long term plan that will help you form new eating habits so you can be healthy and fit for life. Stick to it, and you will see fantastic results.
