This is a total scam, the people all the BTD/GTD forums are all scam artistist trying to get you to buy and make you sick. DON't DO IT!!!! DR. D'ADAMO, what a fake name and bastard of a child.

My sister brought her testing kit and measured everyone at Christmas. Well, I am very skeptical. I don't have the resources to buy such expensive foods. Aren't there any foods that are easily available to everyone? Quinoa - cost 4.69 for 1 lb --- that's a lot when feeding a family. I don't know how the average person can afford the foods -- that's my issue with it. I'd love to follow it, but... lack the funds this would require.

These people are all about brainwash, stay away!!!!!

I was on the diet for 3 months and got an omega 6 deficiency and almost died. Stay away!!!!

And that is exactly what the book The Genotype Diet is about!!! I am a micronutrtionist on GTD and BTD principles in the Netherlands and finally I have the ultimate foodadvice for the types O in my practice!! The 'padded' body of the Gatherer that did not flourish on the speltgrain. The highly sensitive type O that proved to be an Explorer! Peter D'Adamo is so damn right with his views on health, people and digestion! There is no one-size-fits-all diet as all those dietgurus want us to believe! No way! I cannot tolerate red meat as a Type A, Teacher. It gave me stomach aches. Let me eat my plantproteins like tofu, and some turkey and ostrich! Than will my body happy!
This Genotype diet will guarantee longevity and an energylevel to the max!!
My advice to all who read this: Start your Genotype diet and experience (maybe for the first time in your life!) how energetic and happy you can be!! And isn't that what life is about???

I loved the book and really felt it made sense, but am very frustrated that to get the most of my "plan" I now have to pay (in my opinion) a LOT of money to get help with meal plans. I am an Explorer and it does restrict a LOT of things I was used to eating - so called "healthy" foods like salmon, coffee, bananas... all my favs. So, to get help I now have to pay $78 per 13 weeks to get some recipe ideas? Not to mention the expense related to the "random" things I CAN have, like ostrich meat, escargot, lotus root, kudzu... not sure even where to find this stuff! Great book, but at least for the Explorer type, not very easy plan to follow, from a cost and logistics standpoint. Wish I could follow it, not too sure I can, given the rariety of superfoods on my CAN list. Good luck to other "types"!!

I really reccomend this. I did tests on all my family members. It was FUN. All 5 of us are different. I'm the Hunter (yay). Even when you have a doubt , the author explains it to a tee! I was sad to give up some foods but the foods i craved were the foods i was allergic to. just cuz you like them dosent mean your body does. BUY IT! SERIOUSLY! no one is the same. we were born either Hunters, Gatheres, Teachers, Explorers, Warriors, or Nomads just like in early civilization.


Fascinating! There is actually great exercise tips for each genotype. Nice to have some science behind a diet....


This guy knows his stuff. I read the for your type book and it really makes sense.


Anything that's not 1 size fits all sounds like it makes more sense than everyone flocking to the fad diets. We're not all built the same, why would we lose weight hte same?

I just read this book and it makes complete sense. I am a Teacher and heart disease and cancer runs in my family - and I think this may help me to avoid these diseases. I'm going to give it a shot.
