Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

I just love the Biggest Loser. I am a big woman myself and let me tell you watching this season has brought tears to my eyes every episode. With the finale tonight I cried almost the entire time. Jillian is the best I am going to join her website and work to lose the weight I need too. Thank you to all the contestents on the Biggest Loser you guys have been an ispiration to me. i need help, my son is over 200lbs and i am afraid for his life, and i can not get him to eat right or to exercise.... please Jillian i need your help... he said if i join him on the biggest loser show he would do it to to lose weight, can you please help him.. please!!!!!!


I know Tv can make anything appear in the negative but.... Jillian needs to take a basic sports psych class! She constantly yells and as a last resort has a conversation with the contestants, resulting in a positive outcome. Come on! To ge tthe optimal performance out of people do not treat them all the same. Ask any successful coach!

I've been reading the different comments that people have made and also there suggestions. I agree they should do a show with people 50 and over that have disabilities,such as knee problems,back problems and even arthritis. It would really be of help to a sizeable amount of people both men and women!!! You have gotten other requests by other people for this type show for the 50 and over and disabiled . Please,please give this some consideration and thought to our suggestion. I am 54 years old and disabled with sore knees and a back problem and arthritis. It would be great to hear from Jillian as to what type of exercises would be of benefit to me. I'd like to be on the show just as many others would,but, I can't really afford the trip either. Any help at all would greatly greatly be appreciated. Thanks so much for a most inspiring show with trainers that really care about the people they train!!!!!!

I to am a 44 yr old female that has tons of weight to lose since my accident back 2 yrs ago i'm finaly out of my wheel chair but unable to walk very good without pain.Anyone have anyideals???
