Fem XL is a female sexual enhancement supplement that is supposed to increase women’s sexual performance by increasing libido and better pleasure. It comes in pill form, and is intended for regular use.

Fem XL claims to counteract the effects of the many things which can cause low sex drive in women – from birth control, to menopause, to simple individual physiology – by re-balancing hormonal output and creating the conditions that lead to a healthier, more active sex drive. It also claims to support improved circulation, as well as stronger orgasms. By supporting a woman’s biology and giving it the nutrients and effects it needs to operate at an ideal level, it claims that regular use will make the women who take it lustier, healthier, and happier overall

Fem XL has a mixture of nine herbal derivatives and essences which act as the primary active ingredients in each pill:

Horny Goat Weed Maca Mucuna Pruriens Polypodium Vulgare Tongkat Ali
Saw Palmietto Muira Puama Arginine Panax Ginseng

Horny Goat Weed: Also called epimedium, this plant is typically prescribed in Asian and Western medicines for improving blood flow to erectile tissue. It is also sometimes used to treat joint pain, high blood pressure, and osteoporosis in women.

Maca: A plant from the highlands of Peru, traditionally prescribed as a cure for natural imbalances in menstrual cycles, as well as to encourage hormone production in women. It is also claimed to be able to increase energy naturally, as well as to cure anemia.

Mucuna Pruriens: Also known as “velvet bean,” it is a bean that grows mainly in tropical areas. It has been traditionally marketed as a medicine to counteract anxiety, as well as to generally reduce pain and fever. When taken orally or applied topically, it is also said to increase blood flow.

Saw Palmietto: A plant whose fruit is used to create a medicine claimed to treat enlarged prostate. It is also marketed as a diuretic to prevent water retention, and as a sexual drive enhancer.

Fem XL is made up of natural herbs with long histories and associations with naturopathic remedies. Horny goat weed and muira puama are found in many naturally-derived medicines and supplements for women’s sexual health, and the same goes for maca.

The website goes on to say that the ingredients are inspected for quality, and that the pill does not contain any soy, fake sugar, gluten, or milk, so the product appears to have taken into consideration many common allergies which might otherwise stop a customer from using it.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven female libido enhancer such as Libitrinex for better results.

Fem XL is currently only available through the product’s main website at Great Lakes Nutrition. As of this review, the price is $29.99 for a bottle of 60 capsules, reduced from its full list price of $39.99.

The ingredients themselves are fairly standard and considered fine for consumption, but one thing that is unclear on the site is that there’s not much information about where they’re sourcing their ingredients from. The website says that the pills are made in the USA, but it is not known what sort of relationship they have with their manufacturing facility, or whether the facility itself has any sort of third-party inspection done on it for quality assurance.

Fem XL is sold by Great Lakes Nutrition. Their contact information is:

Phone Number: (424) 888-4456

Address: 22030 Ventura Blvd #255, Woodland Hills, CA 91364

Email: There are no email addresses provided on the website. There is a link on their return policy page which says it’s for filling out a form for contacting them with comments or concerns, but the link leads to a dead webpage.

The company offers a 30 day money-back guarantee on all its products.

These products are helping customers achieve better sexual pleasure – and more vitality.

The company’s website is attractive, but there are a couple of things that are lacking. One is the fact that, as mentioned above, there is a dead link when it you click on the customer support form. This is an oversight which is unfortunate, as it reveals a potential lack of quality oversight which may or may not extend to other areas, such as their products.

Furthermore, the product page for Fem XL does not feature much scientific information about the product and how it works, just a bunch of claims about how birth control methods can diminish sex drive in women. Also, the product pictures are low-quality and seem to be a prototype test graphic, not an actual picture of the bottle.

One could expect more polish from a company that sells supplements designed to work, and especially when it comes to critical things like customer feedback and question forms. A phone number to call is nice, but with no alternative, people could get left waiting for callbacks after leaving messages, with no certainty if anyone has responded. It is always better to provide multiple methods of communication, and in this, Great Lakes Nutrition could do better.

We’ve reviewed the Top Ten female sexual enhancement pills – read about them here.

Fem XL seems to only be available via its product page through its parent company, and therefore it is the only place to find reviews. Strangely, there is only one review for the product, despite it being available for a number of years, and it is from an advertiser for another sexual supplement, this one for men.

Clearly this was an internet marketer trying to use another product’s review page to market their own alternative. This is a nuisance that is easy for Great Lakes Marketing to delete, and yet they never did.

To have no customer opinions on your product is bad news in an age of transparency, quick communication, and social media. People depend upon testimonials to see whether or not a product is trustworthy, and for there to be no reviews means that a product won’t look as good as others with lots of impartial customer feedback.

For treating low sex drive in women, these are the best treatment options we’ve found.

On the one hand, Fem XL contains ingredients which are known for their effects on the sex drive, but on the other hand there is zero customer feedback to determine if the product even works. That, combined with the less-than-dazzling webpage, the lack of information about the product and how it works, and the company’s problems with customer interaction, makes this supplement which has no clear evidence as to whether it does what it says it will.

In an industry with so much competition from dozens of different brands at home and abroad, these discrepancies and oversights can throw customers off and make them hesitate to purchase products. And it seems to have had an effect: it doesn’t look like anyone has yet stepped forward to say if it works.

An alternative to Fem XL which we heartily recommend, with a great customer response and with lots of great things going for it is a female sexual health supplement called Libitrinex. It works to boost hormonal health, assist to increase sexual desire, and even make sex more pleasurable and stimulating.

We’ve found that, time and again, Libitrinex has zoomed right past the competition to be the best choice on the market for any woman who wants to take their sexual vitality and health to the next level. Read more here about the benefits Libitrinex, and see what customers all over the country are raving about.
