Fall is the Perfect Season to Jump-Start Weight Loss

Nutrisystem Week 11

With the cool fall mornings and the leaves falling from the trees, I am thinking crisp apples. We can slice them, sprinkle some cinnamon on top and bake for a few minutes. I would have sprinkled a bit of sugar also but I really think I am over that right now. I also love yellow squash and sweet potatoes. Sliced and sprinkled with some garlic and salt and roasted in the oven, I cook these with carrots and asparagus. This is a great veggie mix that tastes wonderful and is very colorful.

Fall is such a great season for healthy foods. But just remember, there can be too much of a good thing. So practice those moderation skills!

Also with the fall weather comes the new season of television shows, and the one I find most inspirational is The Biggest Loser. It is just amazing to watch the pounds fall off of these people every autumn. I have been trying a few of their exercises for something different. It would be exciting to be there at the ranch, but then again I would have to have a lot more weight to lose than the 15 pounds I have left. And with one more month of my Nutrisystem meals I am hoping to make this a better reality.

Again I just want to thank Nutisystem for the meals that they send me every month. This has been a fabulous opportunity for me. I know I have said this before but really I cannot say it enough. The food is really great.  I think my favorites are the soups / lunch items, and of course the snacks. I have not had one soup / lunch item that was bad. And really they are very filling. I had the cheesy mashed potatoes the other day and wished I had a whole box of them, but that would defeat the purpose! Good thing I only had the one.

Fall is a wonderful time for long walks in the evenings, so get off work and start walking and enjoy the cooler weather. It’s also the perfect season to jump-start your weight loss efforts and meet your goal. With three months left in the year, you might need a different resolution in January!
