Donormyl Ingredients and Side Effects

The product website does not feature their ingredients very prominently displayed, but there is a small link just under the header that will take you to the supplement facts label. There is only one active ingredient, that also reveals the specific dosage used for each serving, so it is easy to be informed as to what you are putting into your body as a consumer and the potential negative side effects.

Here are all the active ingredients in Donormyl:

Doxylamine Succinate

Doxylamine Succinate: An antihistamine that can be used to relief the symptoms of the common cold, hay fever, and allergies. An antihistamine functions by blocking production of the fluid histamine, in turn it lessens the allergy, cold, and cough like symptoms you might feel such as a runny nose and sneezing.

It states that it is clinically proven the help the user get to sleep 33% faster by blocking the production of histamine, which in turn makes the body feel drowsy and drifting off into sleep easier. Its main purpose in this product is to help the user fall asleep. As an antihistamine, it blocks the production of histamine within the body, which can keep you awake. Unfortunately, there are some potential side effects that can occur with the ingredient, such as:

  • Drowsiness, headache, constipation, blurred vision, and decreased coordination

Donormyl Quality of Ingredients

As mentioned earlier, Donormyl only features one active ingredient: Doxylamine Succinate, which is utilized in a handful of antihistamine sleep aids. As webMD states:

“If your doctor directs you to use this, they believe the benefit outweighs the side effects.”

This pretty much establishes that many users will experience some negative side effects in orer to get some sleep relief. This is not very logical when there are so many other natural sleep aids that can address a multitude of different sleep related issues at once. Furthermore, they are not going to improve sleep quality long-term, but are rather designed to mask the issues in the shirt-term.

We would recommend searching for a more well-rounded sleep aid that includes several different ingredients that are designed to improve the quality of your sleep.

The Price and Quality of Donormyl

The product is sold in different colors like green, blue, and a rainbow color. It appears that all the colors are the same product, just different packaging. Beyond that they are sold in different dosages which is what really effects the price. A Donormyl 25mg 96-count costs $40.00, while the Donormyl Blue, which features 50mg and a 96-count costs $50.00

There do not appear to be a money-back guarantee offered by the company, and they instead seek to save you money by bunding their products together, so they cost less per bottle, but you’re committing more money to the product. Furthermore, the color-coding of their products is unnecessarily difficult.

Donormyl functions as a more generic version of better-known antihistamines, like zzzQuill and Benadryl, except their main ingredient isn’t as well know or established, or most importantly researched, for its effectiveness. We typically don’t recommend antihistamines for sleep aids anyway, but the lack of information provided by the product site and manufacturer, in favor of bundle deals and promotional material was a giant red flag.

Business of Donormyl

Donormyl appear to be manufacturers named Arizona Pharmaceuticals. The company produces a variety of different products, from allergy medication, to supplements for high cholesterol. Despite what the name suggests, the company’s customer service is based out of San Diego.

Here is the contact information we could find for the company online:

Customer Opinions of Donormyl

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that they are any objective consumer reviews that are available on line currently. As mentioned, it is only sold through the Arizona Pharmaceuticals, and through no other third-party vendors. The product website doesn’t even offer testimonials of satisfied customers – we’re are just supposed to take their repeated statements that it works.

To their credit, on their homepage they offer a link to their Better Business Bureau page where they maintain a A+ and feature no negative reviews or complaints. Which it all the odder that they company claims to have been started in 2004, and to have such little customer support or loyalty is troubling.

Conclusion – Does Donormyl Work?

Antihistamines are becoming increasingly popular as a method on inducing sleep and dealing with sleep insures I general. Bottom line: there’s a good chance that they get you to sleep. The issues occur after fall asleep and wake up in the morning. Many who have used antihistamine have complain about waking up after only a couple hours of sleep, and others stated they were groggy or unenergized after waking up.

While Doxylamine Succinate has been associated with a lot of potential medical benefits, such as relieving allergy symptoms, cough and cold symptoms, and allergies, there is not hard clinical data connecting it to sleep heath. Furthermore, they post the risk of side effects that range from mild to severe, such as headache, blurred vision, and more. The lack of consumer reaction to the product also serves as a red flag. Overall, it seems like Donormyl if you are sick and need relief from symptoms, but if you’re having regular sleep issues, you should look into a more informed and well-rounded sleep aid.

At least hundreds of people walk into a convenience store or grocery store day looking to buy an over the counter sleep aid. But no matter where you go, there are always dozens of choices at least, and they all claim to be the best – for a consumer who just wants relief, it can be frustrating.

Our review experts have determined that the top-rated sleep aid currently on the market is Fenotrex, because of its ability to allow the user to sleep soundly throughout the night and improve their long-term sleep patterns.
