Biggest Loser’s Two-Part Makeover Week Features Michelle Obama

First lady Michelle Obama will appear on a two-part Biggest Loser “makeover episode,” airing Tuesday, April 3 and 10 at 8-9 PM ET.

As the contestants prepare for the highly anticipated makeover show, they will meet with fashion expert Jeannie Mai and visit the salon of celebrity stylist Ken Paves. Just before the fun begins the contestants receive a surprise video message from the first lady inviting them all the the White House.

In part two the contestants finally get to meet Mrs. Obama. She will speak to the group about how adult behavior impacts children as she discusses her platform regarding childhood obesity, the Let’s Move! initiative. Mrs. Obama will also be congratulating the contestants on being positive examples of health and fitness while she visits with each player and their family.

One of the most exciting features of part-two is that the program will be airing the first ever “White House workout.” Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince will be leading the first lady, the contestants, and their families through this special workout.

Before the players and trainers return to the ranch Mrs. Obama informs them all about PALA (Presidential Active Lifestyle Award), the six-week pledge-based program designed to get both adults and children more physically active and healthy.

Mrs. Obama challenges the contestants to get as many people to sign up for the program on NBC.com/pala after the episode airs and until April 25. As an incentive, Planet Fitness is agreeing to donate $30,000 worth of fitness equipment to the hometown of the contestant who got the most sign ups.

Be certain to catch these history-making episodes of NBC’s Biggest Loser on April 3 and April 10 at 8 PM ET.
