Rather than risking a tie and having the black team send her daughter Kristin home, Cathy Skell selflessly volunteered herself for elimination last night on the Biggest Loser. Cathy’s radiant personality had so many of us in love with her from the start. She came to the Biggest Loser ranch with one mission in mind – to do whatever it takes to transform her life. Since starting on her weight loss journey, Cathy has been able to reach new levels physically and emotionally.
Among some of her greatest accomplishments includes finishing 13.1 miles in the half-marathon challenge that Ali put the contestants up to while they were at home in week 11. Cathy has continued to be successful at home and starts her day bright and early with her trainer. With a great support system around her, including going to the gym and working out with her daughters, Cathy has dropped nearly 80 pounds and keeps up her routine on a daily basis. I can’t help but be jealous that tonight the contestants met up with the gorgeous Chef Rocco DiSpirito to make healthy versions of their former favorite fast foods. Rocco spices up the competition by throwing out a prize to the team that makes the best tasting dishes with the lowest calories. They’re playing for a dinner cooked by Rocco, and one player of that team will get an extra vote for this week’s weigh-in. Winning with the best low-cal savory dishes is the black team. Since being eliminated week 7 on the Biggest Loser, Shanon Thomas has begun to live a healthy and happy life. Before the Biggest Loser, she was doubtful about losing weight and being successful. Now Shanon believes in herself and sees that losing weight is possible with the right lifestyle changes. With her goal dress already too big, she’s having fun shopping for new clothes and loving going to the gym to workout. Being active is a major part of Shanon’s new life.
