Diets in Review - Find the Right Diet for You

We Love FILA

Trying to find great workout clothes can be an impossible task. Sure, you could work out in an oversized t-shirt and baggy basketball shorts, but let’s face it – stylish exercise clothes can be practical and inspiring. The workout gear of the 70′s and 80′s has thankfully gone the way of the 8 track player and many companies use technology to create clothing that wicks, breathes and does everything except the super set, all while incorporating style and keeping you looking good! One such company is FILA.

Since it got its start in Italy in 1911, FILA has been well known for creating comfortable, functional exercise clothing that is both beautiful and high quality.

This fall, FILA announced two new product lines: Supplex and Body Toning System. Offered in bright jewel tones and modeled by real women in their advertisements, these workout clothes have quickly become my own personal favorites.

I was sent a pair of Supplex yoga pants, a BTS tank and capri pants for running. All three items fit well and made for comfortable exercise, with a bonus that they helped me look good while exercising. If I look good, I feel good. Silly and vain, but I’ll bet you nodded as you read it, didn’t you? But, you might ask – what’s so special about these new clothing lines?

The Supplex fabric has a soft cotton-like feel with high water and wind resistant properties, high abrasion and, as a bonus, it’s tear resistant. Supplex facilitates perspiration keeping the temperature of the body steady and dries fast. In other words, the material breathes with you and doesn’t make you feel as if you are suffocating when you exercise, the way that baggy t shirt can. Sweat doesn’t pool in your shirt and it wicks away beautifully.

Body Toning System utilizes double-layered panels of INVISTA’s LYCRA SPORT fabric engineered to compress active muscles – in layman’s terms, think of BTS as a girdle for your body. The clothing is tight but not restrictive and supports and smooths your bum and legs to give you your best silhouette ever. Wearing these pants, I felt like a model, which lead to additional workout time – always a win in my book! I’m anxious to try the toning skort with attached capri pants – it seems that FILA has heard my common complaint that running skorts are too short!

I have become a believer in both the efficacy and comfort of these attractive, supportive and fashionable workout clothes.

Carmen was provided with clothing from FILA to facilitate this review. The opinions expressed are her own.

I love the new workout clothes. So much better than the sweatpants and t-shirts I used to wear! And they are comfortable too. I might have to try FILA next time I get something.

FILA sounds like it has good workout wear. However, does it come in sizes for the, um, fluffier person? (I wear a 16.)

I do not like the baggy tshirt for the workout. It gets in the way. And many tops simply hold the sweat in place. These sound like a good alternative. Thanks.
