Another tragedy hit Hollywood this past Sunday, December 20, 2009. Actress Brittany Murphy, 32, died suddenly of cardiac arrest in Los Angeles. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early on Sunday morning where she was pronounced dead on arrival, according to TMZ.com.
Murphy has starred in such films as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” and “Don’t Say a Word.”
The actress has had an ongoing battle with her weight, often raising eyebrows with her super-skinny figure. Recently, on December 2, she appeared at the “Across the Hall” premiere looking very thin, in fact, near emaciated.
In recent years, Murphy has battled rumors of cocaine use to help her lose weight for her role in “8 Mile,” which she vehemently shut down.
Right now, there has been no definitive medical or police report on the cause of death, but media outlets are pointing fingers at drugs, an eating disorder or the lethal combination of both.
DietsInReview.com will keep you posted on the latest news regarding Murphy’s death and whether her relationship with weight played a part in her untimely and premature passing.
