brittany murphyAnother tragedy hit Hollywood this past Sunday, December 20, 2024. Actress Brittany Murphy, 32, died suddenly of cardiac arrest in Los Angeles. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early on Sunday morning where she was pronounced dead on arrival, according to TMZ.com.

Murphy has starred in such films as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” and “Don’t Say a Word.”

The actress has had an ongoing battle with her weight, often raising eyebrows with her super-skinny figure. Recently, on December 2, she appeared at the “Across the Hall” premiere looking very thin, in fact, near emaciated.

Right now, there has been no definitive medical or police report on the cause of death, but media outlets are pointing fingers at drugs, an eating disorder or the lethal combination of both.
