If you’re considering popping a pill to relieve the extra holiday weight, you might want to think again. The FDA released a message this week warning consumers to stay away from 28 diet pills using “unlisted and dangerous ingredients,” as well as a “possible carcinogen.”
“These tainted weight loss products pose a great risk to public health because they contain undeclared ingredients and in some cases prescription drugs in amounts that greatly exceed their maximum recommended dosages,” said Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the FDA drug evaluation center.
The primary ingredient in question is sibutramine, a very strong appetite suppressant that is related to amphetamine. This ingredient, which is linked to frightening health problems like heart attacks, stroke, heart palpitations and even increasing your risk for cancer, is not likely to be advertised on the labels of diet pills. The FDA warns that you as a consumer have no way of knowing sibutramine is in one of the following 28 diet pills:

People spend billions on diet supplements every year.
posted Apr 9th, 2012 7:02 amThis is a Billion dollar industry
Do you really think the FDA will have anything good to say
About Asian diet pills
There are warnings all over of wich are bad diet supplements
and at these warnings a advertisement of SAFE DIET PILL
In America (and up to 10 X the cost)
WHERE do you think the FDA wants that BILLION dollars to go ??
At first I did not think that this will work ,just another diet pill.I bought 3 bottles.I have used it for
3 weeks and I lost 3.8 kg.I am very happy with
Magic slim.
This is a wonder full product.
I have used alot of slimming products but none of them
worked like Magic slim.
I LOVE it.

I'm with peter. OTC pills, like EVERYTHING, have risks to SOMEONE. Im 5'3, 105 pounds, run everyday, and eat fairly healthily. No fast food, no greasy snacks, but lots of bread, crackers, and cookies. I have zero self control regarding snacking on carbs, so I choose to use diet pills. Its my choice. It works for me. And, unlike cigarettes and alcohol, consumption of diet pills don't pose a risk to anyone around me. You can't catch cancer from being in a room while I pop my pills, and I wont drive wrecklessly, even if I take twice the recommended dose. I am so frustrated that the FDA is banning ingredients that work, just because someone with health problems decides to not consult their doctor before taking pills. They can ban diet and excersize for the same reason: "you should consult your physician before beginning any diet or excersize routine" but what if a guy with high blood pressure and diabetes and a family history of heart disease buys a stair master for his house? He doesn't need a Rx, but he could die from cardiac arrest mid workout. Ugh! So frustrating!

I had been feed with crap like this for long time. Those pills do work and sibutramine was found to be great for weight loss and it is not dangerous to your health, There is nothing worst than obesity and scams by more expansive diet pills

i hope that everyone realizes that just because you have been taking a pill on this list and haven't yet had a bad result doesn't mean that these pills are not dangerous. To come on here and write that these are a load of bull or that you haven't found anything online that says the pill is bad....just makes you sound ignorant.

There are many cheap and inferior diet pills on the market, many also just contain ingredients such as caffeine!
