The Biggest Loser should come to Canada!!! Tere are just as many people here that need help to lose weight and to keep it off. We all need to reach a healthier lifestyle. If Americal Idol reach Canada (Canadian Idol) then so can the Biggest Loser!

Hi, my name is Brad and I am 6’1 470lbs. I need the shows help desperately. My Dad and best friend past away a few years ago and ever since then my health and life has spiraled out of control. I spend my life trying to help as many people as I can and now Im asking for help. Season 9 says it is for couples but I dont have anyone to apply with so when I apply will I even be considered? I went to the casting call in Chicago last year and never heard back from them. They dropped the ball on my interview because I would have owned it on that show. Are there going to be any casting calls in Minnesota? Thank you for your time and I wish everyone on here the best and I hope you all are successful at everything and achieve all your dreams. You can do this alone! I am 48 and have been struggling with my weight for most of my adult life–ever since I broke my back when I was 26–and I became inspired to do something about my weight by watching TBL. I, like some of the others, can hear the trainers yelling and encouraging. I also download and watch TBL Australia and UK and those help as well.

I started out not being able to do much of anything on the 2nd of January and am now running 5 miles a day and doing some weight training as well. I eat right most of the time.

If I slip-up I don’t beat myself up. I just pick up where I left off and go my merry way. The only motivation you need is yourself. Believe in yourself and push yourself harder and further than you have ever done before.

I always watch biggest loser and dont wanted to miss it..my weight is 137 lbs … but my stomach look so belly and my arms look chubby..i need more walk and excrise.. let you know that i used lot of sign language and full deaf… i love to learn new something.. i have plm eat very weak sweet tooth … i really need break from sweet tooth.. that’s my problem..

Hi I have just been reading these and want to encourage you all. I have been on a roller coaster with my weight all my life. I had self esteem issues as well. Ofcourse. I had a lot of issues with my weight that had to be worked out. I joined weight watchers last november and have lost 50 pounds in 6 months. I lost it slow and I learned how to eat. I am not endorsing WW but I will tell you from the heart that it helped me. But…….it is not what caused me to lose weight. I could not accomplish anything without GOD’s grace in my life. this weight loss stuff has been a journey and God has decided to use it teach me all these years. I dont always understand why I had to go thru this but I know I have grown thru it and I give him all the glory. He has helped me in the past two years to overcome an eating disorder both the anorexia type and the overeating type. Both are disorders. He has changed my thinking about food and about my relationship with Him. I realize now that it is a daily fight that I have to be willing to fight. The more focussed I am on HIm and on my goals the better I do. I just want to publically thank Him and let you all know that you can do it. Start simple and get some accountability either with WW or a group of girlfriends, find some way to exercise, buy a cheap machine. I have a workout room at home, and just dont give up. Michele – would you really want to put one of your kids at the wrath of Jillian or Bob? Think about that. A 15 year old teenager being yelled at for not pushing harder? I don’t know if they could handle it.

I’m 5’4″, 211lbs… but I’ve already lost 14lbs in the past month because of the motivation from watching BL.

I really wanted to apply, but I didn’t think I could leave my daughter for even one day. I also didn’t have the confidence to believe I could actually be selected. Even though making the show is such a long shot, I wish I had applied. I am so depressed. I don’t have enough energy to keep my daughter active. I am terrified that she will adopt my couch potato lifestyle and eating habits. I stopped applying for jobs because I am embarassed to be in public. I know I’m killing my self but continue to eat late into the night. I’m 289 lbs. I rarely leave the house and I’m hurting my entire family. I wish I could find a way to break this cycle.

Hi My name is Robin I am 52 years old, I am about 50 pounds over weight, My problem is, I can not eat most foods. I have IBS and some other stomach issues, I really need to get in shape. Is there a plan for contestants like me who need to loose weight. I really don’t care about the money honestly all I want to do is learn how to eat right and the right way to excerise… Is there hope for me? Will jillian or bob visit people like me in their home towns to give advice???..I would Love to see a biggest looser season for those like me who need to loose at least 50 pounds…………………

Biggest Loser is nearing completion of casting for season 8. There have been no details re: casting for a ninth season. Typically the contestants have families and jobs, and they have to leave those behind for up to the length of the season, which in season 8 could be as much as 17 weeks. Contact outside of the Biggest Loser ranch is typically very limited. Contestants have to work out the details for a leave of absence with their employers. Contestants receive a stipend for their time on the show to assist with finances. Good luck!

When and where is casting for Season 9. Do the people who get picked to be on the show work, do they have families. If so, what do they do about their jobs while they are gone for that length of time. You know no one can just up and do the show. What about their bills, homes, families. I applied for this seasons biggest loser. I heard the deadline was March 31st or something around there to get the video and application in. So I sent it in. I haven’t heard anything, I keep hoping I hear from someone everyday. I need this so bad. I am 22yrs old. I am 5’4″ and weigh 268. I just had a daugther back in November. She is one of the main reasons I have to do this. I want to be around for her. But also I am doing this for me. I have every reason in the world to be happy, a loving husband, an amazing daughter, a wonderful family. But Im not happy. I can’t be happy with the way I look. Good luck to everyone.

I too would be interested in hearing if they have begun their call backs that maybe might have been generated by the mail in applications and video’s. I was at the casting call in New York, stood in line for 11 hours just to hand in application and pictures. I left New York with a very positive experience and attitude. Came filled out a application and made what I think is a really great video. The waiting is the hardest part. I have tons of support and encouragement from everyone. The two biggest sources are work and my twin 3 1/2 daughters. The wife is not very supportive and thins that it might have been a huge waist of time. I’m not just waiting for the show. I signed up for a local Biggest Loser Competition that I’m starting this Sunday. Inch by inch anything is a cinch I’d say. I would like to hear how the progress is going for season 8. I also met a friend for life in line in New York. He got a call back the following week but has not heard anything since.

Yeah so i like mailed in my video and everything last minute and i know that i made it in by the deadline overnighted and tracked it but now i am hearing chatter that they were supposed to be making the calls on the 9th does anone know if that is true do they have a place anywhere that says if you do not hear from us my this date sucks for you or something????/

I agree with the wait being so hard. I saw on a website by a former contestant that he got a call within two weeks but said if you don’t get a call within a month they probably aren’t interested. But… I also read that this season the people who are picking have free reign. Maybe they are putting 3 teams together and are waiting on the new trainer to be finalized:) I’m hoping I get a call everyday and I know no matter what I have to change my life forever now:) Hope to see you in California and good luck to you too.

Hey All, I found this on BL website maybe It will help -PLEASE NOTE: April 3rd is the deadline for submitting tapes and applications. There is no guarantee that tapes and applications received after the April 3rd deadline will be reviewed in time for season 8.

Season 8 is tentatively scheduled to begin filming in May. Chosen contestants will be selected prior to that. The last of the live casting calls was March 14 in LA… so they should be getting close to making final decisions.
