The Skinny on Cellulite from Dr. Oz

Oprah’s favorite doctor, quickly becoming America’s favorite doctor, appeared on her show yesterday to talk the audience through some of their most pressing health questions. Dr. Oz is the light-hearted, totally approachable, expert on health who speaks with authority on nearly any subject presented.

A question was posed yesterday asking what exactly is cellulite, if all women get it and how do we get rid of it. In a word- marshmallows.

Dr. Oz explained that when fat cells are doing their job, they absorb all the fat they can. As they continue to grow and push together, cellulite forms and you end up with pockets that look like marshmallows. He says that you can blame the family tree for your cellulite, as the way your body stores fat is entirely genetic.

He also told everyone to save their money and stop buying into the billion-dollar cellulite treatment industry. Dr. Oz says that all those creams, balms, and other treatments aren’t doing anything as they are not capable of getting inside the fat cell and eliminating cellulite.

Drink WATER! Lots of it. Eat FIBRE and lots of FRUIT and VEGETABLES! Cut out salt, sugar and fat. Do EXCERCISE, particularly RUNNING. MASSAGE the area or brush it to stimulate the blood and circulation. -

The only way to get rid of celluite is to eat right, lose weight (if necessary) and stay hydrated. I'll let you know in a few months when I lose another 20 lbs. I already lost 17. ;)

Cellulite Forever

For the blinds and ignorants, Doctor OZ seems to be talking generally about the cellulite treatment industry that it is not worth wasting any money since there is no such remedy for cellulite to disappear. Those who want it gone should choose not to look at their butts and other body parts affected by cellulite instead or opt out under the knife for Frankenstein looks. Advertisements about a cure is just a way some people make money out there. Desperate people always go for desperate measures, whether that be the consumers or providers. Please bare in mind that if I go on special water with super powers that never make you feel thirsty again or turns you into a hulk it is just as stupid as selling it out to people as it is during purchase. I believe Dr. Oz is saying 'Don't be stupid ladies, I am the doctor and you are the ignorant'.

This article didint help me either- would have liked to hear what he thinks about velujshape and mesotherapy or aything at all as treatment. In 1988, i was in good shape but had some lumpy cellulite on my upper thighs. a surgeon ensured me he could get rif of it via liposuction- on the evening before the surgery, then urse called to ask if i could gethold of a surgery girdle, as theirs wasnt delivered. i couldnt and told her if its needed to postphone the surgery. The doctor called me back and insisted that my excercise tights wouyld do fine, since i was slim.I trusdted him - i eneded upwith lumps on the fron of my thighs, he messed up my legs so bad and my right outer thigh has sunken horixontal parts/waves that he did unevenl. Im ashamed. for 18 months, he kept teloling me that the swelling just didnt settle yet, amd i believed him,. then it was too late to sue him.he also got a little part of my butt, nd i liked mt butt . Im ashamned. add to the fact that three years later when i was thirty- three, i had to have a mastectomy and reconstruction, which another doctor did perfectly. Add to that, the only good part of my body left was my stomach and navel, and last year, i had to have a hysterectomy- now i feel self-concoious and like frankenstein. I am 118 lbs and a size three, and would have liked to look and feel sexy again, for one ore time in my life- but i dont have the money to correct my legs and the dr who did my breast reconstruction, told me to leave my legs well enough alone- i dont think anyone could ever fix them. That girdle i was supposed to wear, was supposed to keep everything tight and smooth while my legs healed from the lipo, and they are all loose ripply amd disgusting. I did workout- but my legs look shameful, like "what the heck is with that lady's legs"- that's how bad they look. I wouild habe liked one last chance to look good.

Sad but true.

Where you store body-fat is determined by the type and location of your fat cell hormone receptors – specifically the adreno-receptors designed to accept adrenaline and noradrenaline

All the creams and lotions aren’t going to affect your fat cell hormone receptors.

If interested, more info on body-fat patterns s here –
