Breyers New Smooth and Dreamy Ice Cream Bars

Even though we are in the last official month of summer, it’s still dreadfully hot outside. And if you’re like me, hot weather is the perfect excuse to eat ice cream.

So when Breyers came out with their new line of Smooth and Dreamy low-calorie and low-fat ice cream bars, I nearly cleaned out my entire freezer to make room for one box of each of these new delicious frozen food finds.

But I exercised some restraint and have so far only tried the Breyers Smooth and Dreamy Triple Chocolate Chip ice cream bar. By the end of the summer, I intend to test out every flavor of these delicious low-fat ice cream bars.

Unlike some frozen treats that pack serious calories or others that are packed with artificial sweeteners, Breyers’ line of ice cream bars are all under 160 calories or less and contain no artificial sugars or additives. They are just natural healthy fun!

Here is a look at the rest of the Breyers offerings:

Breyers Smooth and Dreamy ice cream bars come in three flavors and boast the following nutritional statistics:

  • Triple Chocolate Chip (130 calories, 6 grams of fat)
  • Vanilla Caramel Chip (130 calories, 6 grams of fat)
  • Chocolate-Covered Strawberry (120 calories, 4.5 grams of fat)

Breyers Smooth and Dreamy ice cream sandwiches come in three flavors and boast the following nutritional statistics:

  • Vanilla Fudge Brownie (160 calories, 4 grams of fat)
  • Chocolate Caramel Brownie (160 calories, 4 grams of fat)
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (160 calories, 4 grams of fat)

By the way, the Triple Chocolate Chip ice cream bar was heaven-sent from the ice cream gods. Not only is it a good-sized ice cream bar, but the ice cream is as creamy-dreamy as its name promises. Each bite is filled with chunks of chocolate chips, and the chocolate coating offers the perfect crunchy snap against the soft ice cream.

Do yourself a favor and savor the last few weeks of summer with one of these guiltless treats.

Happy snacking!

Hello! For many many years I have been a 'fan' of Breyers Ice Cream---But this Thanksgiving a guest brought some to go with pie---WELL---surprise surprise---I have not have eaten Breyers Ice cream for maybe a year or so---BUT I NOTICED AN IMMEDIATE FLAVOR 'CHANGE!' I Noticed that the second ingredient is "High Fructose Corn Syrup! What kind of morons would 'disturb' the original flavor recipe--by using Corn Syrup instead of sugar? When Corn Syrup crosses my lips, my tongue transmits a 'signal' to my liver---that my liver cannot decipher or respond to---and I almost immediately suffer from a 'Cirrottic' train-wreck! I don't think I am alone on this one! What are you idiots thinkin'?
