Mini Bio

Aaron Thompkins has been battling weight his entire life and can’t remember weighing less than 300 pounds. He’s on a journey to become a better father and husband than his was, a man who suffered from alcoholism. Aaron played college football for Edinboro University, where he continued to exceed everyone’s expectations; he is currently studying visual communications at Kent State University to complete his degree. Aaron is realizing that he doesn’t know how to deal with emotional issues that led to his weight gain. Similarly to his father, he’s battling addiction, but with food instead of alcohol. Gasping for air one night in his sleep, a result of his sleep apnea, he realized it was time to make changes to better his life. With a wife and young 3-year-old son, he’s ready to become a better role model, and better spouse, and is looking forward to visiting an amusement park and the beach with his family.
