It’s the first day of summer and we couldn’t be more excited about kicking it off with our new Biggest Loser Correspondent Courtney Crozier! You’ll remember her as a fan favorite from season 11 who dawned the aqua shirt and a whole lot of self-confidence. You might also remember that Courtney lost 120 pounds on her own prior to joining the show, and then posted a 110 pound loss during Biggest Loser.

We promise no one can motivate like this girl can! That’s why we’re launching Courtney’s Summer Challenge. The challenge is a 12-week program fueled by a new video post each week from Courtney. She’ll update on her own progress, as she continues working toward her own weight loss goal, and pose a challenge to everyone for the week. For instance, in this week’s kick-off challenge, she is asking everyone to get out and take a walk once a day.

enjoyed my walks everyday. Whether it was grocery shopping or walking to the lake to take the kids swimming :) Thank you again for being such an inspiration Courtney. 4 months ago I NEVER ate veggies and now I have them at least 2-3 times a day! I love the positive changes I have made in my life. I am such a happier person!

I tried your Shrimp and Scallop Paella this past week and it was awesome. My husband Pete and I really enjoyed it. Also I put some veggies on the grill and served with it. Yummy! I'm looking forward to trying more of your recipes!

Well just a quick update. I didn't have a chance to comment on last week's challenge. It has been fun reading some of the other comments. I had two really good revelations last week. First: I don't like to sweat. Sounds silly I know but it is true. I live in a hot place so just going from the house to the car and I'm sweating. But hey who said it was going to be easy. Second I finally realized if I don't walk my set goal of 3 miles a day but only a mile a day for now then that is 1 mile closer to my goal. Thanks Courtney for the encouragement. Between you and your mom I think I'm going to figure this out this time. ((hugs)) and thanks so much.

Had such a wonderful walk tonight, went solo and decided to add a little jog in my step. I have not jogged in yearsss and boy did it bring a smile to my face. Felt great and ready to do it again tomorrow night during my walk :) Glad I found this challenge to get me moving again and for all the encouragement Courtney has given me once again :) Thanks girlie!

I thought about not walking today on account of it being a thousand degrees outside (give or take about 900 degrees) but I decided to push myself and walked farther today than I had before: 4.7 miles! That's 18 miles total since this challenge started! So fun to see the numbers like that!

So far I have walked everyday and its been GREAT!! Thanks SO much Courtney for this push I very much need!! I just had a baby less then 3 months ago and have already gotten the baby weight off now I have 50 pounds more to go to feel good about myself which I havent felt in a really long time. So excited about this and excited to be a good military wife to my husband who my horrible eating habits have rubbed off on and am ready to change our lives so we can enjoy teaching our baby boy how to live healthy!

First full day of being unemployed. Breakfast of 4 egg white omelet with turkey bacon, whole wheat toast with Laughing Cow creamy swiss and oj.Walking this evening, made 15 trips up and down stairs this morning, my cat thinks I am nuts (LOL who know maybe I am!)

Hi Courtney! I'm so excited that you are doing this summer chalenge. I really want to lose weight but I'm having trouble sticking with it. Too much negativity in my head. Hopefully this will give me a chance to be active in my weight loss journey. I recently hurt my foot so I can't really do high intensity workouts, but yesterday I walked to the mall from my house (2 miles!!!) Can't wait to keep doing your challenge.

I walked yesterday and did my 15 minutes on the treadmill today during my hour long session with my trainer! Yesterdays walk was to the back of the farm to take pictures of a flock of baby ducks that are living back cute and so refreshing...the walk

My daughter and I just finished day 2 of the challenge. We ate right all day, and did a 1/2 hour walk just as fast as her little (big) belly ( 7mos. preggo) would let her! It was still 100 at 8:15pm but we did it!

I try to focus each day on me for some type of exercise or quiet time which totally improves my outlook on life. I am training for my first half marathon and am excited for that. I did about 2 miles yesterday on my breaks at work, then turned around and did the Fit Test to start BeachBody's Insanity! The most important message I get from that program is dig deep, and go farther each day than you did the day before.

You GO Girl. I'm ALL in. I only have 15lbs. to loose BUT I have been trying for a couple of years to get that 15lbs off and to keep it that way. SO, I'm EXCITED to get motivated in this way. I understand what I need to do to get moving - My area of needed help is nutrition.

Courtney is such an inspiration! I have been trying to get back on track after a very stressful year. It all starts with little changes like drinking more water and walking! :) Look forward to this 12 week challenge! I know it will help me greatly!

I just singed up for the challenge too. You inspire me from the time you were on the biggest loser with your mom. I am a cancer survivor of 9 year cancer survivor and have been trying to get healthy since. You have motivated me so many times and I am going to start walking today...thatnks for always being so positive.....:)

Im a 32 year old stay at home Mom and summers hard to keep up with the kids, on top of being overweight I am a 3 year cancer survivor so my body has been through a lot. I am ready to take on this challenge week by week with all and Courtney!
