Jenny McCarthy Credits her Playboy Body to a Clean Diet, Yoga and Lots of Great Sex

At the age of 39, actress and former comedian Jenny McCarthy has done it again: she’s gracing the cover of Playboy Magazine just months before her 40th birthday.

While some will never be fans of this style of modeling, we must admit McCarthy has managed to keep her body in amazing shape for decades, even after having a son, Evan, who is now 10 years old. This will be the star’s seventh time posing nude for the popular magazine, and she’s glad she did it.

“I’m really proud of it,” McCarthy told People Magazine. “The pictures are really gorgeous and classy. They could be out of W magazine…It’s probably a lot more sophisticated than lot of the stuff you’d see of people with their clothes on.”

One of the things McCarthy loves most about Playboy Magazine is that they don’t promote that “anorexic look” so many of the models have today. “The women are voluptuous,” she said. “So I really didn’t want to diet [for the cover]. I Just wanted to tone up.”

McCarthy told Shape Magazine in 2024 that while few people would’ve believed it, she weighed more than 200 pounds when she gave birth to her son in 2002. But thanks to following the Weight Watchers diet plan, the star learned portion control and how to be more conscious of what she put in her mouth.

Another diet change came when she learned of her son’s autism diagnosis at the age of 3, which led her to further evaluate her diet. Because her son required a gluten- and dairy-free diet, she decided to match his needs by cutting those things out of her diet as well. This, she says, helped her lose even more weight post-birth.

McCarthy told the magazine that a typical breakfast for her is an egg white omelet, and lunch and dinner are fresh fruit and veggies with fish with an occasional snack of nuts here and there.

And to stay in shape, the star says she focuses on living a pure life and tries to get in a yoga sculpting workout several times a week that both strengthens and stretches her body. In addition to this routine, she also runs on the treadmill, practices Bikram yoga, and has lots of “great sex.” Giggles aside, we know that sex has some major benefits for overall health.

In addition to her Playboy cover release this summer, McCarthy is also hosting NBC’s lastest dating game show Love in the Wild, and is getting ready to release her eighth book: “Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic.”
