The goals I'm working toward:

  • losing 40 pounds
  • break out of the binge/restrict cycle
  • stop drinking soda

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

Junior high, I think, was when I started feeling self conscious about my weight, but it started even before then. A friend of mine and I were sitting on my couch one day, and she reached over and pinched the skin together on my stomach. She said, "You know what that is? It's fat. You need to get rid of it." Obviously at the time I had almost no fat on my body, but it always made me worry.

My favorite healthy food:

I love bananas. They just make me feel better after eating them. I also love raw potatoes and baby carrots.

My guiltiest pleasure:

Reese's and pizza. I just can't seem to resist these things.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I want to stop looking in the mirror and hating what I see.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • using Crystal Light in my water
  • Going for walks during the day
  • Practicing color guard
  • Eating at the table instead of in front of the tv

My favorite activity at the gym is:

Walking on the treadmill. I can sit my iPod on the dash and watch a movie, and I barely realize I'm exercising.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Graduating high school
  • Getting into a good college
  • Marrying a wonderful man
