About Me:

I will be 50 years old in 2 weeks, but I have never eaten healthier and exercised more than I do now. I am happily married, a Christian, have 3 boys, work as a legal assisant, and am a major Biggest Loser fan. LOVE the Morelli's, which is actually what brought me to this website. I love Jillian Michaels and credit her and her book Master your Metabolism with finally getting me to give up Diet Cokes once and for all (4 months now) and getting me to eat healthier.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Climbing Half Dome in Yosemite on my 50th Birthday
  • maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine
  • losing 10 more pounds

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

most of my life - 10 to 20 pounds overweight, except for a few good years - Ha

My favorite healthy food:

berries (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries)

My guiltiest pleasure:

Kodiak brownies (whole grain, organic) or dark chocolate

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I want to feel good and look as good as long as I can and live to see grandchildren. Also, watching a dear friend, younger than me struggle with health problems because of diabetes inspires me to keep going. I want to be a good example to my boys. Finally, I want to be as healthy as I can since Obama is destroying our healthcare system and I may not be able to get good healthcare when I am retired.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • bringing healthy snacks to work
  • getting to the gym 5 times a week

My favorite activity at the gym is:


The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Recently, I conquered my 30 year diet coke addiction
  • Toning up and losing 15 pounds for my 25th wedding anniversary
  • Of course, my three boys
