About Me:

I live in a weird town, with two kids, two pets and a man I've been happily married to for over a decade. I'm a complete geek, just in case that's not apparent yet, a musician, and an all around artsy-kinda gal, when I can find the time. The rest you'll have to find out on your own, folks!

The goals I'm working toward:

  • 200 lb. weight loss
  • Better cardiac health
  • Showing my kids how to live healthier

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

Potty training. Seriously, I was crash dieting at the age of 8, and while I didn't start gaining serious weight til about 18, I never felt comfortable in my own skin.

My favorite healthy food:

Fresh fruits - especially the tropical stuff like mango and papaya.

My guiltiest pleasure:

Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

My children need a better example for living healthy, and I need to be there for them down the road.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • Walking
  • Chewing sugarless gum to curb "munchies"
  • Seeing a trainer each week

My favorite activity at the gym is:

Exercise bike (unless you count stretching)

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Raising my kids - a work in progress
  • The music CD's I've recorded (2)
  • Getting 3 short stories published
