About Me:

Hi I'm Megan-- I started watching my calories in Feb 2010 and lost 43 lbs, then stopped watching it and regained 10 lbs. I restarted Jan 2011 and am now down a total of 61 lbs-- almost halfway to my goal of losing a total of 140 lbs!

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Losing 140 lbs
  • Running a 5K (at first-- hopefully even longer distances!)

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

Ever, really. I have always been overweight, but between 9th and 10th grade I went to a nutritionist and was down to my lowest as an adolescent or adult-- my goal weight now.

My favorite healthy food:

Salmon, Vitamuffins, asparagus

My guiltiest pleasure:

Pizza

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I want to have a healthy, happy family-- which will start with meeting a man!

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • Take time for myself to exercise
  • Keep track of my calories on an iPhone app

My favorite activity at the gym is:

I hate running, but I love how I feel after so I'll go with that.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Losing over 60 lbs so far
  • Earning a Bachelor's Degree and almost done with my Master's!
