Yoga Dictionary

Sanskrit for insight or vision, drishti refers to where you look during each posture. Each yoga asana has a corresponding drishti. It is meant to keep the mind focused as well as to enhance alignment. Drishtis are strongly emphasized in Ashtanga yoga, where there are eight different focal points to rest your gaze during a posture.
