The night before finale, it's a little known tradition that the author of the Biggest Loser series of cookbooks hosts a private dinner at her home. I've been fortunate enough to attend a few times, including once at KooKooRoo when she was working on their menu. It is a legitimate party. All of the alumni are there and often current season contestants who manage to sneak away. That's how I met Mark Pinhasovich and lured him in to DIR's correspondent gig! If you think making her recipes yourself is great, trying having her at the helm. Let's just say, this is how I fell in love with her chorizo nachos and little brownies.
