It's been nearly four years since acai became the "it" four-letter word of dieting. It held top spots on our Most Popular List for consecutive years, falling only as low as position four last year. While the FDA and FCC have finally stepped in to keep the unrelenting supplement manufacturers from selling dieters on false claims with false product, the interest in acai still exists.

Here's the bottom line, acai berries, native to Brazil, are incredibly healthy for you in the whole state, and even as a 100% juice with no additives. The same can be said for any other fruit or berry, like blueberries or apples.

Any supplement pill is going to have acai in very low quantities, and there's no sustainable weight loss that can come from their use.
