Food Label Glossary

In order to call a food item “low” in sodium it needs to have 140 mg or less per 50 grams. Meals and main dishes must have 140 mg or less per 100 gram serving. In order to call a food item "very low sodium" it needs to have 35 mg or less per 50 gram serving. Meals and main dishes must have 35mg or less per 100 gram serving.
