Head to a local gym and a volleyball game is bound to be seen playing. Volleyball is an excellent recreational sport. An average person can lose 148 calories by playing volleyball for 30 minutes. Charles Kiraly is a famous mens volleyball player and won gold medals in the 2000 and 2004 summer Olympics. Because he weighs more than 150 pounds he can play volley for 30 minutes and burn 208 calories.
