South Beach Diet Phase Two

About South Beach Diet

Phase two is the long-term weight loss phase of the South Beach Diet. This phase allows for the re-introduction of fruits and whole grains. The re-introduction process is slow as to not disrupt the blood sugars that have just recently been stabilized. One carbohydrate is selected and included in one meal each day for a week. It's even encouraged to wait a few days after to make certain there are no noticeable effects. After that another healthy carbohydrate can be introduced. This slow process remains until two or three healthy carbs can be consumed daily. Phase two lasts until the weight loss goal has been meet. Phase two can also be the starting phase for those who have 10 pounds or less to lose, who don't have craving issues, or who do not have belly fat. Phase two is also encouraged as a starting phase to those who simply want to improve their health.
