5 Resolution Excuses Busted

Did you sign-up for a pricey, name-brand diet plan that costs more to feed you than it does your entire family for a month? Did you pay for a low introductory rate at the gym and then realized what the actual monthly cost is? Or, do you just think buying healthier groceries cost too much? Just like you have to re-prioritize your time, you have to re-prioritize your budget and work with what you've got. You'll be surprised that there's more there than you may have initially seen.

The Fix : Ditch the overpriced diet plan. With the number of free and low-cost resources, you can make your own healthy, portion-controlled meals at home that feed not only yourself but your entire family three times a day. You don't need a gym, at least an expensive one. Price compare gyms, look at splitting the cost of an at-home trainer with a group of friends, or buy workout DVDs you can use over and over at home. Lisa Johnson has challenged herself to feed her family at the poverty level with $500 for the month and shop at Whole Foods. She's having great success!
