2012 Presidential Candidate Positions on Health Care

Herman Cain was the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City with a background in business and economics. He is also know for his work in the media, as a commentator for Fox Business and as the host of The Herman Cain Show.

Cain believes that the health care system is too bureaucratic, compromising the relationship between doctors and patients. He believes that the 2010 the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act should be repealed and reformed.

Individual Issues:

  • Wants to allow tax deductions for health insurance premiums regardless of whether the policy is purchased by a business or individual
  • Want tort reform to prevent frivolous lawsuits against doctors
  • Supports free-market health care solutions
