DietsInReview.com Scholarship Program 2018

Students throughout the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for one of our scholarships. The deadline for all application materials is April 30, 2018 at noon PST.

Award: Three winners will receive $3,500, $2,000 or $1,000.

Essay requirements: 1000-1500 words

Essay Subject: Obesity has grown so much that it has replaced smoking as the number one preventable cause of disease in America. Even though obese people have to take responsibility for what and how much they eat, society has not only created obesity but it also discriminates against those affected. The media, food companies, and rapidly advancing technology are all factors that influence not only the increase in obesity rates, but also the psychological state of the obese.

Questions to consider are: How is obesity defined? What are the possible causes of obesity? How can obesity in America be prevented?

About DietsInReview.com scholarship program: American society has more obese people each year. We would love to stimulate a new generation of students to start learning how to solve this problem and prevent it in the future.

Applicants must be:

- U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees

- 14 years old or older

- Currently enrolled in a U.S. accredited college, university, or trade school.
