Sirloin Steak with Spicy Herb Marinade

Give your steak a kick with this spicy accent.

Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin tip steak, all fat removed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. liquid garlic spice flavoring
  • 1 tsp. mediterranean herb rub
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 Tbs. steak sauce
  • 1 Tbs. barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Combine liquid spice, herb rub and black pepper to make a paste
  2. Rub paste over entire surface of steak
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in non-metal dish or container
  4. Add steak to marinade and turn to coat both sides
  5. Cover dish and refrigerate several hours or overnight, turning steak at least once
  6. Coat grill with cooking spray
  7. Sear steak for one minute on each side
  8. Cover grill and cook 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until thermometer reads 155-160 degrees F
  9. Allow to sit 5 minutes before carving into thin slices
  10. Serve with steak sauce
