Healthy Chili

This recipe for healthy chili can be made with either lean beef or ground turkey.

Yield: 6 to 8 Servings



  1. In a large pot, cook the onion and garlic in the olive oil, stirring constantly, until the onion turns clear.

  2. Add the ground meat, chili, cumin and salt. If you are using ground turkey, you may also need to add a little more oil to prevent the meat from sticking to the pot. Cook until the meat is browned.

  3. Drain the beans and add them. Add the tomatoes, with the juice. Stir thoroughly. Simmer for 30 to 60 minutes. Add more seasonings to taste.
