Crock Pot Burger Heaven Casserole

Yield: Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. extra lean ground beef (or turkey)
  • 2 cups sliced raw potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 cup frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
  • 1- 10 oz. can Healthy Request Tomato Soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Spray a Crock Pot container with cooking spray
  2. In large skillet, brown meat, onion, celery and mushroom mixture
  3. In Crock Pot container, combine meat mixture, potatoes, carrots, peas and corn
  4. Stir in tomato soup, water, parsley flakes, salt and pepper to taste
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours

What kind of mushrooms does the recipe call forThe recipe calls for 1 can mushrooms, my question is, is it calling for mushroom soup? Can I use regular mushrooms?

wow what a great receipe. i made in the crock pot like the receipe but it cooked longer then the 8 hours and it still had a great flavor. im trying to eat healthier so ive been looking for just such receipes. i passed this out at work one of mt co workers use vension instead of hamburger and just loved it thanks alot.
