Broiled Pork Chops

A sweet and spicy recipe for juicy pork chops.

Yield: Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbs. distilled white vinegar
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 6 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, paprika, chili powder and pepper
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
  4. Set aside half of the sauce
  5. Preheat broiler
  6. Brush both sides of the chops with sauce
  7. Place chops on broiling pan rack
  8. Broil about 4 inches from the heat for 4 minutes on each side
  9. Brush with more sauce
  10. Continue broiling, turning and basting every 3 to 4 minutes, until juices run clear
  11. Serve with reserved sauce
