The best diet for PCOS is low in added sugars with most carbohydrate coming from whole grains, beans and legumes, and fresh vegetables. Carbohydrates should be spaced throughout the day to prevent blood sugar spikes. Otherwise, the diet is balanced (see ChooseMyPlate.com) without excess fats from animal-based foods. Daily exercise for at least 30 minutes is also a must.
