Great question! You have a few different options here. First, make sure your breakfast is rich in protein, fiber, and even includes a little fat. This combo will help you feel fuller longer. An omelette loaded with veggies is a great breakfast option. If you don't have time to whip up an omelette, consider a high fiber cereal, a low-fat yogurt, and a piece of fruit for breakfast. Second, if you are truly hungry at 10am, go ahead and eat something. For many individuals, have a small snack when they wake up and then another mid-morning works the best for their eating agenda. Make sure each snack or "mini-meal" is nutritionally dense so that you get the biggest bang for your buck. Smaller servings of common breakfast foods often work well for these smaller meals. You could even split your regular breakfast in half, eat part of it early on, and then the rest at 10am. Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, nuts, and cereal are also great small meal options to consider. Good luck!
