Diets in Review Question

What chemical is in this?

Dia` asked this question Jan 1st, 2012 9:03 pm

Looking over the reviews, I can see that people who have stomach issues or IBS should stay clear of it. It also can cause some mental (foggy) issues.

What are the chemicals in it that cause the issue? Is this like taking posion?

The ingredients of Sensa include maltodextrin, tricalcium phosphate, silica, and both artificial and natural flavors. One of the artificial flavors, artificial color yellow #5 can cause allergic reactions. The product label also claims soy and milk are present which can cause additional problems for those with a milk or soy allergy. Additionally, those who are lactose intolerant may be unable to consume this product. Although Sensa is not FDA approved, the ingredients do meet the FDA's standard for Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and are considered to be safe for consumption; however, if you are worried that you might have a negative reaction to it, I would err on the side of caution and look for other ways to safely, and effectively achieve a healthy weight.

AWFUL customer service.... Was charged $89 for the trial. Sent back unused portion and tracked it... When I called, they claimed they hadn't received my package and that the RMA number EXPIRED!!!! When I tracked my package, it was delivered on Feb 21. Was charged in April. They claim they never received it, and needed my tracking information... WHAT A JOKE!!! Luckily I found my tracking information, but now it's going to take 7-10 business days to credit my account? RIGHT. This company is a JOKE. Not willing to work with me at all in expediting the process... Not cool, Sensa. I'm very disappointed and I know that this is the biggest scam I've ever seen. I hope they get sued.
