The upper back is a hard area to tone and one of those areas where as you lose weight seems to be one of the last areas to budge. A good combination of regular cardiovascular work and exercises that target this area will help you see a difference. Try the classic exercise called Reverse Flye’s, start with your feet in a squat position hip width apart holding 5- 8 pound dumbbells. Pitch the body forward from the hips so that your spine is on an incline with your arms rounded and palms facing inwards at sternum height. Draw the shoulder blades together as your lead with arms by the elbows to the side of the body. Perform 10-15 reps and add some small pulses for extra burn, 2- 3 times at least three times a week.
