Last week we spoke with the 17 Day Diet author, Dr. Mike Moreno. His response should be good news:

Dr. Mike says it is fine to make the substitution, you'll just modify the protein suggestions. Instead of fish or chicken, you'll use soy, dairy or legumes. He cautions that vegetarians are at risk for protein deficiency, so be sure you're not skipping this important nutrient.

Well in the book, it has this question in the FAQ section. It seems you dont eat animal products at all so if this is the case, it says you can use "vegan meat substitutes" for the protein and use a probiotic supplement in place of probiotic serving if you don't do yogurt. Tofu is mentioned in the cultural section and says you can add it in as a lean protein starting cycle 2 (on your activate days) hope this helps.
