Melissa McCarthy Creates Plus-Size Clothing Line, Continues to Be Amazing

We certainly cannot get enough of Melissa McCarthy. Besides being one of the funniest people currently making movies and television, McCarthy has been nominated for multiple awards (Emmy and Oscar!) and she is downright lovable.

But Shape.com recently reported that  McCarthy has had a difficult time finding dressed for red carpet events due to her not being a standard Hollywood dress size. Unfortunately, as most of us are aware, there is not a lot of variety in A-list celebrity shapes and sizes which is an incredibly disappointing realization in 2024. Because she’s not a size 0, finding good dresses is an issue, despite being a big-name in Hollywood.

Shapewear “Perfects” Your Look by Literally Squishing Your Organs

Everyone, take a full, deep breath and step away from the shapewear. Whether you swear by your Spanx every day or just break them out for special occasions, you aren’t doing your body any favors.

Shapewear is specifically designed to suck you up and hide any “blemishes” your body might have. To do that, of course, it has to be pretty tight. According to three doctors interviewed by the Huffington Post, that tightness can be dangerous.

The doctors, a gastroenterologist, dermatologist, and chiropractor, said that shapewear actually compresses your internal organs. Let’s say that again. Shapewear is compressing your internal organs, like your stomach, intestine, and colon.

Bodies to Watch at Sunday Night’s Emmy Awards

There’s no doubt that today’s top TV shows feature some of the most beautiful people we’ve ever laid eyes on. My personal favorite is English actress Michelle Dockery who plays Lady Mary Crawley on the series Downton Abbey. The star’s petite figure, elegant costumes and defined cheek bones are enough to compel a full-on girl crush.

As the Emmy Awards approach this Sunday, we’re crossing our fingers that our favorite stars bring home awards for their outstanding work as our most-loved on-screen characters. But we also look forward to scouting out the best dressed and the hottest bodies among the crowd.

In a sea of fine actors, we’ve picked out our top 10 favorites and highlighted their nominations as well as their diet and fitness routines. Check and see if your most-loved celebrities made the list and cheer them on this Sunday when the Emmy Awards air live at 7 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
